In certain parts of Africa such ad Zambia, hundreds of elderly people are attacked and killed each year for displaying Dementia-like symptoms.

There is a myth that elderly people displaying such behavioal actions are witches.

Elderly people are constantly living in fear of being harmed or killed forcing them to live in isolation from communities they helped build.
